More Road Trip News…

Uncategorized 2 Comments

…Well, I was a little frustrated because I had actually written a lengthy post last time, but almost all of it was lost somehow! I don’t member what I wrote, but I wanted to share about the friends and family we have seen along the way to Montana. We are currently on the last leg of our trip- today we drive from Pullman, Washington to Lakeside, Montana! Here’s a summary of what we’ve been up to the past week…

After our time in Calistoga, we camped overnight in the redwoods. I loved watching Johnny’s face light up at the sight of these giant trees! Then we drove to Salem, Oregon and spent time with friends from Johnny’s DTS. Naphtalie and her family welcomed us into their home, and Katie met us for dinner, along with her wonderful boyfriend, Dan. Next, we crossed the border into Washsington. We had a major detour along the way, and ended up driving around the south side of Mt. Hood. We actually didn’t mind- it was spectacular! In Ellensburg, Washington we stayed with John’s good friend, Tim, and his family. John and Tim also did DTS together! We got to go on a hike with Tim, and had the privilege of overlooking the beauty of Washington. We continued our drive and are currently staying with Johnny’s Aunt Paula, and cousins Emily, Hannah, and Will, in Pullman, Washington. Apparently, this is the home of the WSU Cougars, and everyone in town really likes that. There are Cougar emblems ALL OVER. We are really enjoying our time with Paula and her family- it has been a tremendous blessing to see where they live and spend time with them here. Last night we also got to meet our dear friend Krista, who lives in Spokane, for coffee and fellowship. We were her DTS Staff in Kona in ‘07.

Every leg of this journey has been a sweet blessing. Our souls are so full of joy

because the Lord has blessed us with sensational relationships all over

the place! We thank the Lord for this incredible time.

Love to you all!

Love, love your photos on your blog and I share Johnny’s love of those giant trees. That is one of the wonderful trips we took with the RV. Pat & Cleo Harding (Papa was in the Navy with Cleo) live in McMinnville, OR (about 40 miles so. of Portland) They like a RV park called Bayshore on the coast about 25 miles from where they live to go & catch crabs! Need a place to stay on the way home, let me know….they are very friendly friends & own some farmland in McMinnville!
