Sneaky Dan
The heart of God, his generosity and thoughtfulness, is so evident when we think about our family and friends. We are extremely blessed. Throughout our short time in California, and on our way to Montana as well, the people around us have ceaselessly shown such kindness to us. Only God could place that kind of love in the hearts of humans. We were taken out to eat, invited into homes for meals, handed cash to use on our road trip, given money for groceries…and…John was the recipient of an Apple gift card…with a balance on it to buy the new iPhone 3GS! What in the world? God, You are so so so good.
Unbeknownst to us, a slice of generosity pie had been waiting for us here in Montana, long before we arrived. When John and I showed up at the Student Center on campus to buy some snacks, the gentleman running the register said, “Oh, the Gillespies, right?” Before we had time to question why this stranger knew our surname, he handed us an envelope with our names written on it. Inside was a card, and a gift card for Ross! We were delighted when we saw who had done this sneaky thing. “Baumann!!!” Johnny and I yelled in unison. Dan, our good friend from Kona, had been in Montana for a short time in June. While he was here, he had planned this little surprise for us. He also pulled the same sneaky surprise for another married couple here, our good friends the Byersdorfs. Below is a photo of our shopping extravaganza over the weekend.
Thank you Dan! And thank you, friends and family, who love us so much and show us such generosity!

That bag is off the hook! 3GS Awesomeness!
I love sneaky Dan and I love all who have blessed the socks off of you two!! There could not be two more deserving people than both of you. You are both such generous souls yourself – and Jesus is blessing you now for the many, many, many ways you bless others! Isn’t God the coolest, ever? Thanks for sharing your stories with us, your faithful fans. Yeah, more than just Liam follows your blog. LOL. Go figure. I love you both and miss you bunches and oodles and gobs.
