Snow…Everywhere!

Uncategorized 1 Comment

Ok, I don’t know if I have ever been this cold. Ever.

We are now in Kansas City, visiting John’s wonderful family. We arrived to falling snow… snow on the ground, snow on the cars, snow on the houses, snow everywhere. But it looks really pretty, and we are doing pretty good at staying warm! We’ve got socks, and scarves, and layers, and hats and gloves. Being in the snow makes the weather in California feel like it was summer!

For now, though, it it amazing to be here. We love our family here, and they have welcomed us so warmly. Grandpa Gillespie is doing well but he certainly misses his dear wife. Grandma Gillespie was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. So, we’ll be over here until the first of the year, and then head back to Kona. It will be fun to actually feel the chill of winter for a few days (as long as we can be inside warm houses most of the time). For those of you in the warmer states (ie: California and Hawaii), we love you and miss you so much!

Bye for now!

Your visit to Cali was the best Christmas SURPRISE ever! I’m bummed to hear you’re c-c-c-c-old in Kansas but I know one thing for sure – you warm up any room just by entering! The gift of time is such a precious and treasured thing. I’m so thankful you and Johnny lavished us with that gift and now his family in Kansas get to soak it all in. I miss you two already. Try to stay warm, little one! :-) I love you!
